Joe Walsh videos - the politician, not the rock star
For
the benefit of our many visitors who are fans of both Joe Walsh (the
politician) and Joe Walsh (the rock star), we have compiled this
collection of some of the "greatest hits" videos from the 2010 campaign
for Congress in the Illinois 8th District.
Separately, we have compiled some of the best
YouTube videos of various Joe Walsh concerts by the classic rock
star of the 1970s and 1980s, Joe Walsh of the James Gang and The Eagles,
who remains very popular to this day. As it happens, Joe Walsh
(the politician) is also a fan of Joe Walsh (the rock star).
Joe
Walsh Debate on Hannity - Great American Panel discusses the
incident at the League of Women Voters forum in Grayslake, IL when the
crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance in spite of the moderator
rejecting a request for it. This appeared on the Tuesday, October
26, 2010 program. The forum was on October 20.
Joe Walsh - The
Pledge of Allegiance - Illinois 8th District Congressional
candidates forum by the League of Women Voters in Grayslake, IL on
October 20, 2010
Here is another
video of the Pledge incident which a member of the audience
captured, including the comment of the moderator that "I hope that will
be the last time that I am disrespected" as she tried to rationalize her
refusal to recite it. She also alleged that it was a planned
incident by the audience. The person taking the video was forced
to leave the room.
Note that Melissa Bean has had various video "trackers"
at Joe Walsh events this year, such as to capture footage which was used
in subsequent
attack videos by her campaign. That includes a video of the
League of Women Voters forum in Barrington (against the rules) during
the primary, as shown in this
"Call me crazy" video posted in September 2010. She also had a
video tracker at the May 4 health care forum which Joe Walsh hosted in
Barrington, and a prior one in Wauconda. She has complained to her
friends in the media about supporters of Joe Walsh taking videos of her,
such as the
"thug" video which went viral in early September after she had
avoided public forums throughout the August recess in both 2009 and
2010.
Voters have had many questions about her record.
For example, look at this
video about her from Bill Moyers Journal. This seems to be
remarkably different from way that she portrays herself in the local
media and to voters of this district.
Joe
Walsh - Television advertisement - unlike the negative attack
ads against Joe Walsh by Melissa Bean which try to portray him as an
extremist, he presented a simple and positive message in this ad from
October 22, 2010
Joe
Walsh to Melissa Bean: Voters deserve better - October 17, 2010
- Joe Walsh points out that Melissa Bean is insulting voters by not
listening to them for the last two years (or more, actually) and then
trying to attack Joe rather than discuss her record or intentions.
A public servant who hides from the voters doesn't deserve to win.
Joe
Walsh to Melissa Bean: You've got to be kidding me - October 7
video response to her direct mail campaign piece in which she tried to
portray Joe Walsh as an extremist, as seems to be the common strategy of
all Democrats this year. Rather than talk about her record or the
issues of concern to voters this year, she has chosen to attack him
personally.
Debate Us, Melissa Bean - October 1, 2010 - various residents
recorded this challenge to Melissa Bean, who has been avoiding debates
with Joe Walsh all year long
Joe
Walsh - Dear Melissa Bean: Debate the Issues - September 24,
2010 - Joe Walsh challenges Melissa Bean once again to debate him on the
issues, after she ignored his challenge to four debates prior to the
August recess.
Joe
Walsh - Election Year - September 15, 2010 blunt message about
his candidacy for Congress in the IL 8th District. It includes the
horse trailer which many voters throughout the district have been
signing this year as supporters of Joe Walsh.
Joe
Walsh for Congress - December 29, 2009 during the Republican
primary, which he won on February 2, 2010 against 5 other challengers by
a 10 point spread. This video introduced Joe Walsh as a
conservative candidate for Congress in the Illinois 8th Congressional
District. Note that he has not been timid about his views, and his
message hasn't changed.
