This page will share ideas about local development issues, as in cities and counties.  In short, the goal will be to highlight what is demonstrably producing results, and to challenge liberal assumptions.

That doesn't mean that conservatives have a monopoly on good ideas for local governance.  It just means that when good outcomes are demonstrably achieved at the local level, we want to help share them as a model for others to consider in their own communities.  Likewise, we want to be watchful about the spread of programs which demonstrably fail, regardless of how they originated politically.

Keep it simple.  Send a clear message to Washington.  If you do this, we will work to defeat you.

"All politics is local".  That's where the American Revolution began.  We need to get back to basics as conservatives and confront the liberal insurgency movement in American states through major cities like Chicago, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, etc.  Look where it got them.

Editorial: Santa Claus is coming to town.  The wish lists of the economic development lobby.
Many states are facing budget crises, forcing them to make cuts (and seek federal bailout money, which risks losing even more power to the federal government).  While companies quickly shed thousands of employees when the economy goes into a recession, government officials resist this and insist that it is at times like these when their services are most essential.  All of them?  Really?  There's no room for cuts?

We will bankrupt ourselves if we don't push back to defend the limits on government power and spending.  It has already helped to drive much of our industry overseas.  Although it might seem tempting to argue that we should outsource a large part of our bureaucracy to lower cost places too, we really need to cut it back to essentials and improve the quality and productivity of the government services we deliver.

Competition forces businesses to become very lean.  Government faces very little pressure to do so.
