July 21, 2009 - Clinton worried about North Korean ties to Myanmar - Comment:  Note the paragraph near the end of the article about Obama asserting that he has the executive authority to sign an ASEAN treaty without approval of Congress.  Isn't this abuse of power?  Bush had rejected the treaty.
July 21, 2009 - Obama notes lack of humility among bankers - Comment:  How ironic.  How about the lack of humility in Congress and the White House among those who have screwed up the economy?
July 18, 2009 - Obama: Don't squander chance to reform health care - Comment:  Still trying to ram it through as though it was a crisis which his plan could actually solve, rather than make worse.  Despite critics, Obama stays course on health care  No mention of Tea Party protests yesterday.  Obama losing some support among nervous Dems  They are starting to fear loss of power in 2010.  Note that the Rasmussen tracking poll is holding at -8 now, but seems likely to keep getting worse.

July 16, 2009 - Obama goals on weapons cuts, car dealers rebuffed - Comment:  Oink, oink.
July 16, 2009 - House Democrats set to vote on health care bill - Comment:  Ramming it through.  Watch whether Mike Ross and the "Blue Dogs" cave in and then try to weasel out of responsibility for it.  Schumer proposes to impose $100 billion in fees on insurance companies - to help kill them off.  Other amendments would raise their costs.  This helps to assure that the government will take over health care.
July 15, 2009 - US Treasury chief in Gulf to drum up support - Comment:  Looking for more money, as in China recently.  See also US-UAE Business Council.
July 14, 2009 - AP sources: House lays groundwork for CIA probe - Comment:  So the CIA allegedly spent $1 million on planning work for targeting al-Qaeda leaders.  That's small change by comparison to what the Democrats now plan to spend on a partisan political witch-hunt to distract from their legislative atrocities.
July 14, 2009 - AP source: NY AG seeking settlement with Rattner - Comment:  Of course, this has nothing to do with his resignation as Obama's car czar a few days ago, right?  Meanwhile, he was quickly replaced by somebody else with no auto industry experience while all attention was on Sotomayor.
July 14, 2009 - House health plan to boost taxes on rich - Comment:  Until none are left.  Another 1000 page bill which nobody is expected to be able to read before the vote.  More transparency!

July 14, 2009 - Obama wants $12 billion for 2-year colleges - Comment:  Now he wants community colleges to become more reliant on federal government grants, just like many major universities.  This is in addition to the changes to student loan programs to make students deal more directly with government in order to fund their education, and to encourage them to serve in favored social activist programs.

July 10, 2009 - Medvedev sees single currency dream in G8 coin gift - Comment:  Don't underestimate this risk.  Many people thought that the Euro would never happen in Europe.  It may seem crazy, and could be very harmful to US interests, but Obama hasn't spoken out firmly against the idea.

July 9, 2009 - AP Analysis: Mixed reviews greet Biden as a diplomat - Comment:  Hillary seems to be keeping a low profile, perhaps to avoid taking the blame for Obama's mistakes.  Meanwhile, Biden is making Spiro Agnew look good.  Where's the Biden-ism books and memorabilia, as with "Bushisms"?
July 9, 2009 - Internet drug purchases included in spending bills - Comment: Note what else they slipped into appropriations today.  Wait to see what happens during Senate-House bill reconciliations.

July 9, 2009 - More problems for health care bill - Comment:  Slowing it down as Democrats take the heat from various unpopular tax proposals to pay for the costs of their plans, despite efforts to hide the costs or taxes.  Note the latest "soak the rich" schemes, including a higher capital gains tax.
July 8, 2009 - On eve of debate, House Democrats say CIA lied - Comment:  Congress is still a threat to human intelligence, and wants to increase that role.  This is just a red herring.  Remember the costly damage done by the Church Committee back in the Carter era?
July 8, 2009 - House Dems eye surtax on wealthy for health bill - Comment:  Back to the same populist "soak the rich" mantra as a distraction from other flawed proposals.

Promises, Promises: Obama tax pledge unrealistic - No, it was a flagrant lie all along.

July 4, 2009 - MOUNTAIN OF DEBT: Rising debt may be next crisis - Comment: Note the remark at the end about the massive unfunded federal liabilities which don't make it into the official estimates.  It references the Peter G. Peterson Foundation at http://www.pgpf.org/ and Deficits Do Matter
July 4, 2009 - Europe's free, state-run health care has drawbacks - Comment:  Even an AP writer acknowledges that the experience in Europe with government-run health care is cause for concern.
July 4, 2009 - Reuters - Russia scolds OSCE for equating Hitler and Stalin - Comment:  Perhaps Obama would like to express his point of view on this history debate while he is in Moscow with Putin?
July 4, 2009 - Obama's trip: 3 more countries, 1 broad mission - Comment: Russia, G8 and Ghana trip plans.  Be wary of the desire to reach agreements just to create the political illusion of progress.
July 4, 2009 - VP Biden celebrates July 4 with US troops in Iraq - Comment: Note the pithy quote about the US naturalization ceremony in one of Saddam's former palaces.  He also made it clear to the Iraqi leadership that they're on their own if things get worse again in Iraq, regardless of what causes it.  Of course, all the Democratic leaders wanted to pull out before the surge turned Iraq around, but now they just don't want to cut and run so fast that they will get blamed if things go wrong after that.

July 2, 2009 - FBI notes: Saddam Hussein sought familiar refuge - Comment:  Worth reading, both as a reminder of who Bush removed and why he did it, and to note that Saddam was more afraid of Iran.
July 2, 2009 - Obama to tell Putin: Time to move past Cold War - Comment:  Obama was still just a college student when Reagan firmly brought it to a successful conclusion despite all his liberal critics.  Obama doesn't seem to have a firm grasp of that recent history, much less current foreign policy issues.

Read past the headline for some other memorable quotes, such as "I'm not reconciled with that" when asked about the risk of Iran getting nuclear weapons during his term of office.  How weak is that?

Explanation of the News Archive feature
Note that at www.Breitbart.com you can see reader comments about the articles by following the "Show Comments" link which is found at the bottom of each article.  Since most articles no longer show up for visitors there within 24 hours, many articles have few comments unless they were very hot topics that day.  The AP often releases multiple versions of the same story, even with very minor revisions, in which case a new page is created for each version.  That causes reader comments to be scattered across multiple versions of the story.  We do not attempt to link to every version of the story.
At some point links may no longer work because the other websites involved will purge their content, but a Google search for the same headline may still find them through other sources for reference.
This tool was created to make it easier for conservative voters to go back and find relevant political stories long after they have disappeared from the current headlines.  In some cases these stories were hardly even mentioned at the time in the liberal news media, or quickly disappeared from the news, so many voters may be completely unaware of them.  Some of the stories display obvious bias by the reporters, but readers can be the judge of that.  The comments reflect our own editorial opinion on these stories.

For those who may not yet be familiar with The Christian Science Monitor, it is an excellent objective source of independent national and global reporting.  We have no affiliation with it, but respect it highly as a news source which focuses on more in-depth research and analysis than just the latest bad news event of the day.

Their "Patchwork Nation" blog includes some fairly interesting political research.  Refer to the Patchwork Nation map.
