Try our Conservative Search Tool or Tea Party Search tool to look up:
health care tea party or to look up your members of Congress to see
what is being said about them. Our
Republican Senator and House
search tools make it easy to find what Republicans in Congress are
saying on health care.

Welcome to Surge USA
(SurgeUSA.org) -
dedicated to empowering individual conservatives.
Find out what your elected officials, conservative peers,
and commentators
in any state are saying or doing about the issues which matter to you.
Our
Conservative Search tool makes it easy. Similar political
research tools cover Republican
Governors, Senators, and
House members.
Our Strategy and
Call to Action is simple. We
cannot wait quietly and hope for a better economy after elections in
2010 or 2012. This country is being radically and rapidly changed
in many ways. Conservatives need to get organized and speak up
now, before irreparable damage is done.

Display green ribbons or balloons as a
gesture of solidarity with the
protesters in Iran
Iran's struggle between liberty and
tyranny Even if Obama and US government officials
still don't want to be perceived as "meddling" in the internal affairs of
Iran, the support of the American people for the people of Iran in their
struggle against tyranny should be unequivocal. We may only be
able to offer our moral support for their struggle, but as they risk
their lives in opposition to ruthless tyranny, surely we can use our
freedom as individuals to honor them.
Remember all the yellow ribbons across America for the
"Free the Hostages" campaign to show solidarity with our captive
diplomats in Tehran in 1979-1980? This time, use green ribbons or
balloons to show
solidarity for the cause of Iranian liberty (not support for Mousavi)
and victims like Neda.
See the videos and
text for the moving speech of June 6, 1984 by President Ronald Reagan at
the Point du Hoc memorial for the 40th
anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy. Compare
this to President Obama's speech in France for the 65th anniversary of
D-Day.
May 19, 2009 - Once again,
Daniel Hannan alerts us to where these policies are leading.
See his latest interview on the Sean Hannity
show on Fox News. The Tories have seen our future already.
April 28, 2009 - Lawmakers advancing much of Obama's budget agenda -
Comment: The Tea Party movement, as in
the Declaration of Independence,
presented our grievances against this growing tyranny in a respectful
and principled way. Members of Congress chose to scorn us and do
as they please. They are abusing the power which was entrusted to
them, disenfranchising tens of millions of Americans who did not vote
for the Obama agenda or sign a blank check for statist tyranny.
They have chosen to declare war on us.
We now need to focus on
the local organizational task of voting each of them out of office.
We also need protests at every appearance they make in their home
districts. They will not listen until they fear that their
political careers are in real jeopardy. At this point, it is
already too late for that. It's time to
select them out of American politics.
April 27, 2009 - Democrats announce agreement on budget pact -
Comment: "Most importantly, the congressional budget plan would prevent Senate Republicans from delaying or blocking Obama's plan
to vastly expand government-subsidized health care when it advances this
fall." Where is the outrage at this blatant abuse of power?
It's time for all Republicans to stand up and become as disruptive as
possible before this harmful budget agenda is rammed through in
legislation this spring, summer and fall.
Let's do it again
on Saturday July 4 as a "Learn The
Constitution" celebration of the enduring American principles and values
which have served us so well for 230+ years. Stand up for the
limited federal government powers, including limited Tenth Amendment
authority over states. In the interim, consider our
Tea Party Tactics suggestions.
Thank you for standing up again on
Memorial Day with
the people in your community who honor the fallen, our
veterans, and those who are still serving our country.
Silent no more!
Tell the pirates and looters in Washington who have hijacked our
government that we don't regard our veterans as radical right-wing
security threats, unlike the Department of Homeland Security! We
regard them as patriots! We support them, and honor their service
and sacrifices for our country.
This is not anti-Obama or anti-anybody, nor driven by political parties
or special interest groups. This is about standing up for
individual responsibility and limits on federal government power
and political or bureaucratic intrusion into state, local, and individual
decisions.
This isn't about venting anger at those who disagree
with us. It is about standing up for what we firmly believe as
fundamental American principles which should not be hastily changed
after serving us well for so long.
Did your community miss out on the Tax Day Tea
Party? Take the initiative and organize an
Independence Day Tea
Party celebration in your own
community on July 4. Focus on a
positive "Learn the Constitution" theme to get back to American basics. Spread the word!
Our Surge by State pages will share
local Tea Party information and other relevant links. If you are
planning a Tea Party - regardless of date - or are responsible for any
other local conservative organizations which we have not yet listed, we
welcome suggestions to help us update these pages.
We are still trying to tabulate a fairly reliable nationwide
estimate of the Tax Day Tea Party crowds. Please
e-mail your most reliable crowd estimates for whatever event you
attend. Links to published photos or videos which help to substantiate the
crowd estimates are welcome - but please do not email the actual photos
or videos to us. Just help us to share the image links.
Don't forget to
prepare for the July 4 Independence Day
Tea Party, when more Tea
Party protests are planned nationally on a "Learn the Constitution"
theme related to the concepts of limited government and individual
responsibility.
June 21, 2009 - Obama's poll numbers finally
turn negative.
Generic Congressional Ballot - Comment: The obvious point
is that the country is roughly split 40-40, with 20% uncommitted to
either party. Last time, frustration favored the Democrats.
Not likely in 2010.
Thank you, Daniel Hannan, MEP for the South East of England.
His stinging rebuke to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the
European Parliament has justifiably gone viral.
See the videos, including various
interviews on Fox News (Sean Hannity, Neil Cavuto, Glenn Beck) since his
conservative comments also resonate here, especially with the
"tea party" revolt.
DIS Organizing for America - The drones
were sent out in March to seek "pledges" of support for Obama's budget
and agenda. As expected, they e-mailed and met with millions of his
campaign supporters to get around 640,000 of them to sign without even reading the
2010 Budget (summary .pdf) which they were being asked to endorse.
This was then used to pressure members of Congress. Note that the
Tax Day Tea Party got a similar number of people to actually take the
time out of their day to go to the streets and protest in 750+ cities.
That was without the vast resources of the Obama campaign.
Spammer in Chief - the rise of
populism in America, and the Organizing for America initiative
At least some citizens were voluntarily standing up
against this initiative - but it passed
anyway. It also fits into other initiatives, such as to expand
the role of the federal government in the control of education and
direct financial aid to college students. This greatly expands the
reach of government programs into state, local, and individual
responsibilities, and undermines local control of voluntary or
charitable work by reinforcing a culture of dependency on federal
government power to selectively meet local social needs..
The Chicago Tea Party. Thank
you, Rick Santelli of CNBC. We didn't wait until July.
See the video rant, links, and our own thoughts. Why not feature what
conservative governors and mayors are doing? There need to be many
local events, month after month, to grow this movement quickly.
"Full faith and
credit." As they say in the "forward-looking
statement" legal disclaimers in financial reports, past performance is
no guarantee of future success. Faith in what?
Federal Ponzi schemes?
"All politics
is local". That's where the
American Revolution began. We need to get back to basics as
conservatives to confront the liberal insurgency movement in America.
Cities and states still matter.
Watch what the
House Financial Services Committee does on the auto industry
"financing and restructuring" bailout as if foreign auto manufacturer
jobs in the US (heavily in "red" states) didn't matter.
Social
Insecurity. The audacity of hoping
that
ever larger federal Ponzi schemes are investments.
"Creating and
saving jobs". Even kids soon doubt the reality of an Easter
Bunny who redistributes free eggs to all. They know that they only come from chickens -
and are usually bought at a store at the market price. They know
that their parents work hard to put food on the table and care for their
needs.
Federal, state, and local officials seem to be even more out of touch
with reality about job creation, as though they were elected to be the
Easter Bunny and provide well-paid jobs and free benefits for all.
Declaration of Independence -
The lofty rhetoric of the Declaration of Independence from 1776 is so
fundamental to American political values that it deserves careful
review. Excepts are repeated here, along with our thoughts about
the relevance to our current political circumstances.
"In God We
Trust." Like it still says on the money.
Not in all of our politicians or bureaucrats.
