This

Sarah Palin, including recent news below, whether for a possible 2012 candidacy for President or
because of interest in her policies, actions, speaking
appearances, and the conservative principles and causes which she
supports.
January 12, 2011 -
Palin's words reach back to sordid history- The media tried to
create a story out of her rebuttal of their absurd recent attacks
against her. Once again, they failed.
October 10, 2010 -
Sarah Palin attends Bakersfield GOP event - 11,000 x $495 =
? Meanwhile, Obama is trying to rally 17,000 in Philadelphia with
a free hip-hop concert today.
September 20, 2010 -
Palin wins RightNation 2010 straw pollOnly 1693 votes cast out
of 5416 attendees, but nearly 20% went to Palin - 323. There were
also many Chris Christie fans!
September 11, 2010 -
Palin, Beck recall 9/11 attacks at Alaska event- an
enthusiastic crowd of "thousands", with "about 100 protesters" outside
smearing them about being divisive fearmongers. Hello? Who's
spreading hatred in this picture?
August 25, 2010 -
Palin rebounds with primary victories - from The Hill, after the
stunning upset victory by Joe Miller (not yet final, given absentee
ballots yet to be counted). She also backed winners such as Paul
Gosar, Allen West, Pam Bondi, and others.
June 12, 2010 - Sarah Palin appeared on the new
FreedomWatch
show
on Fox Business with Judge Napolitano, along with other guests
such as Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Jim DeMint, Dick Armey, and Michele
Bachmann. They talked about the focus and impact of the Tea Party
movement.
March 28, 2010 -
Palin to tea party rally: Don't sit down, shut up - Get
organized for November. Note that there is no mention of the Tea
Party Express bus being
attacked by Reid supporters, nor about attendees being
misdirected away from the rally location by his supporters.
Instead, there is only a mention of an alleged fistfight for which no
evidence was given, just as the AP has accepted the lies about racist
epithets at the Capitol protest even though no video has been found as
evidence of them. AP reporting has proven to be as unprofessional
as CNN at the 2009 Tax Day Tea Party rally in Chicago.
February 6, 2010 - Sarah Palin spoke in Nashville at the National Tea Party
Convention - links to C-Span and other coverage of her
speech and other activities at the event.
Why I'm speaking at Tea Party convention, by Sarah Palin -
column in USA Today - Thank you, Sarah Palin, for speaking out in
response to the uninformed criticism of this event. There's a
related comment on her
Facebook page - plus many comments by her fans.
January 11, 2010 -
Sarah Palin to join Fox News as contributor - Comment:
Another savvy move. This should drive her liberal critics
absolutely crazy in 2010. Reloaded and aiming ...
Sarah Palin on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin Check the notes
section for updates from her, such as any plans related to
SarahPAC(for support of other candidates). She already
has over 1 million followers on Facebook.
http://twitter.com/AKGovSarahPalin was her site while
Governor, which will soon be deleted. There's a popular
Sarah Palin
News page on Twitter with a link to
SarahPAC and her new book, Going Rogue, which was already a
bestseller long before it launched until November 17.
Beware of fake sites related to Sarah Palin on Twitter,
as well as various ones which regularly attack her. There are many
unofficial sources about her. For example,
http://www.thesarahpalinblog.com/ is a popular source of many tweets
at
http://twitter.com/SarahPalin_Blog , but this is not actually by
Palin.
See
"Going Rogue" book tour photos from SarahPAC on Sarah Palin's

apologized to those who she couldn't see because of the overwhelming
turnout so far.
December 24, 2009 -
Review: Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" - Comment: It is time
to start the volunteer work and fundraising to defeat everyone who voted
for the "health reform" legislation and other recent atrocities. We need
solid primary challengers in every district, and the organization to
ensure their victory in November. That is the new mission of the 912
Project / Tea Party movement for 2010, since the Republican Party seems
to be incapable of getting organized and keeps pushing RINOs at us.
I've got a news flash for you in the AP (in case you
and all of your "fact checkers" don't get it yet). She's not looking for
your approval. She's not going to play the "gotcha" game with the
liberal media, as though they were the custodians of truth and in
control of public opinion. She's taking her own message straight to the
public - and reaching millions by various channels because there is
actually a lot of market demand for knowing more about her and her point
of view, whether the news media or politicians like it or not..
November 16, 2009 - Congratulations to Sarah Palin on her book launch interviews.
Well done - including the artful dodging of the questions about her 2012
plans by keeping the focus on individuals in 2010. It will be
interesting to see what the initial sales figures turn out to be for her
book, "Going Rogue". One
report in the Wall St. Journal indicates that the press run has already
been
increased to 1.6 million.
November 13, 2009 -
AP FACT CHECK: Palin's book goes rogue on some facts - Comment:
The media attacks on her book begin. Time for an AP Distortion
Check - for selective deception by biased reporters and editors who
pretend to present objective facts when actually pushing an attack
agenda.
The many misleading statements presented
as facts above are too ludicrous to merit response. For example, it
equates "federal subsidies" for Alaska with federal spending in Alaska
relative to federal tax receipts from Alaska. Not all of the federal
money spent in Alaska is a "subsidy", and Alaska contributes more than
income taxes to this country. Selective use of facts can be a lie.
Besides, Palin wasn't alone in government in Alaska.
There have been many Republicans and Democrats who felt that it was
their primary role to "bring home the bacon" through pork projects, as
is common in so many states. Is their success at such activities her
fault? How much of it was really driven by her role while serving as
Governor? Ask that to Ted Stevens or her predecessor as governor,
perhaps? He never did anything which might merit criticism before
she showed up, right? Ditto for all the Dems in Anchorage?
Pure as the driven snow, or was a lot of federal spending in Alaska
driven by them, not her?
AP: Palin book goes after McCain camp but not Levi - Who cares
about him? She gave him the obscurity he deserves - not even worth a minor
footnote. The McCain camp is relevant, however - so that nobody in
the GOP
makes the mistake of hiring such staff for a campaign again. With
talent like this around him, Senator McCain may even lose his 2010
election in the primary.
November 1, 2009 -
Obama's campaign manager slams Palin as "Pied Piper in Republican
politics" - Comment: Wrong. He and his radical
friends at Organizing for America have been
leading the rats who were gullible enough to be suckered again by the
siren song of their specious promises. They have made it clear
that moderate and "conservative" Democrats will have no more than
illusory influence to keep them quiet while the left wing of the party
hastily goes about the business of destroying this country.
November 1, 2009 -
GOP ex-candidate endorses Democrat in NY race - Comment:
So much for the party loyalty which Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich
were so worried about when they supported her. We shall soon see
whose endorsement carries more weight with voters in the NY 23rd
district. Meanwhile, Sarah can add successful RINO-hunting in NY
to her resume. It only took one week!
Perhaps Republican leaders will
finally wake up before making specious endorsements in 2010 primaries.
We have a similar problem in Illinois with the Mark Kirk campaign as a
liberal Republican candidate for US Senator to replace Roland Burris.
Hopefully voters will not follow party leadership in their support of
his campaign, in which case the February 2 primary in Illinois may help
to change "the Chicago way" of deals among party leaders who are out of
touch with voters and play power games with other people's money.
Newt Gingrich is in damage control mode now - endorsing Hoffman,
and "deeply disappointed" with Dede. Perhaps he would like to
encourage Illinois Republican Party leaders to
endorse
Senate Bill 600 in the Illinois legislature so that Illinois
Republican voters can finally pick their party leaders directly?
Update: October 31: Dede
Scozzafava withdrew from the race after quickly falling to third place
in polls. Did she bow out gracefully? Apparently not -
quietly
encouraging support of the Democratic candidate.
October 26. 2009 -
Palin endorsee surges (Alaska Dispatch blog) -
Hoffman takes lead in NY House race - It's too early to be confident
that the endorsement has helped Hoffman, but at least it should have
raised his visibility in the district. Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich
has been on Fox News and talk radio to insist that Hoffman was not even
high on the list of potential candidates at the local Republican
meetings where the party leaders chose who to put on the ballot, and
that he doesn't live in the district. Newt is now arguing that
this is a matter of respecting local party choices - not national ones -
and that the Republican Party won't come back from defeat this way.
We shall see who wins.
October 23, 2009 -
Sarah Palin has endorsed Doug Hoffman for Congress in the NY 23rd
District race on her Facebook page. This is a bold move to
back an independent Reagan conservative who is running as an independent
after the Republican Party backed a controversial candidate. It
will be very interesting to see whether this gives Hoffman a bigger
boost than the large recent campaign contributions by the national
Republican Party to back their favored candidate, and the endorsement of
Newt Gingrich.
Palin backs 3rd-party candidate in NY House race- Good move.
Going rogue, as she says. Note that little attention was paid to
the other endorsements Hoffman picked up - Fred Thompson, Steve Forbes,
Dick Armey, Rick Santorum, etc. It's the principled stance of Palin
which scares the heck out of the Democrats as well as the Republican
leadership in Washington.
October 14, 2009 - Wall St. Journal -
Palin Plans New Political Group - Comment: reportedly to be
called "Stand Up For Our Nation" and to be announced as her book is
released in mid November.
Note that Sarah has commented on various recent issues
through her Facebook page (notes section). Read her comments about
the war in Afghanistan, as well as her recent speech in Hong Kong.
July 9, 2009 -
A closer look at Palin finances as she steps down - Comment:
Isn't it odd that the AP is so concerned about her finances, and yet
largely ignores people like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Charlie Rangel,
Nancy Pelosi, etc. Where is the investigative journalism about
their financial interests?
July 9, 2009 - Jim Robinson at
Free Republic states the case for Tea Party support of Sarah.
July 8, 2009 - The latest
Rasmussen poll data shows that Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, and Mike
Huckabee all have very similar levels of Republican support as 2012
candidates, but wait until next year. See more poll analysis at
the
Conservatives4Palin blog
July 8, 2009 -
Perry says Palin to campaign for him - Comment:
Interesting move. Lots of Tea Party enthusiasts in Texas, and
influential Republicans. It's also one of the few states which has
been attracting new jobs and capital investment projects for many
reasons.
July 8, 2009 -
The Texas for Sarah Palin blog reported that Sarah Palin will
speak on August 8 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as the guest
of honor of the Simi Valley Republican Women Federation. It's not
yet listed on the
Reagan
Library calendar of events, however. A subsequent
July 30 Facebook statement from Sarah Palin's spokeswoman at
SarahPAC denied such plans, and clarified that any such event
invitations would be coordinated through
SarahPAC.
July 8, 2009 -
GOP candidates in Va., NJ wary of Palin - Comment: She may
be justifiably wary of supporting somebody like Christie in NJ, and
maybe McDonnell. Rather than get too close to either race, it
might make sense to focus at first on her book, 2010 elections, and other
priorities for now. Compare this AP story to
other quotes from McDonnell.
July 7, 2009 -
Palin: Politically speaking, 'If I die,
I die.' - Comment: She needs to show up for her next MSM
press appearance in one of those T-shirts from Spamalot - "I'm not dead
yet".
July 5, 2009 -
Return of the Arctic Fox - interesting Manly's Republic blog
post from New Jersey, including comments about the 2009 Republican
candidate for governor
July 4, 2009 - Reaction to the announcement from
GOPAC is positive
July 4, 2009 - Reuters -
McCain says resigning Palin will still play Republican role -
Comment: Brief, perfunctory e-mail statement to news media -
.... with faint praise? Meanwhile, his staff apparently denigrated
her on the record and on background again (see AP stories below).
Don't hold your breath for Palin to strongly support
McCain's Senate campaign in 2010 - if he asks.
Meanwhile, the news media seem to have their noses out
of joint that nobody saw this move coming. For all of their
vaunted connections, they were clueless right up to the time of her
announcement. Remember her "I've got a news flash for you" line at
the convention? She's not seeking their approval, and that's going
to continue to drive them crazy. She can reach Americans directly,
as Reagan did.
July 4, 2009 - one of the many blog reactions -
The Force is with Sarah Palin - "If you strike me down, I shall
become more powerful than you can possibly imagine"
July 4, 2009 -
AP Analysis: Palin's resignation hurts her future - Comment: More
AP nonsense - already on the new White House talking points after being
caught off guard yesterday? Back to accusations of being "erratic"
or irrational. Of course some of the former McCain staff don't get
it. Remember what they did to her? How well did their
campaign strategy work, if they're so smart? She will be smart to
keep away from people like Weaver or other specious liberal media
sources in DC.
Note the line about "casting
herself as victim". Outrageous, considering all the media attacks
on her. Even more absurd is the notion that she is somehow
following Obama's script. This is by far the most stupid piece of
AP "analysis" I have seen in more than 30 years of following White House
politics. Given all the competition over the years, that's quite
an accomplishment. Even Al Franken is sharper.
July 3, 2009 -
Mark Levin Showcommented supportively about Sarah Palin's
resignation.
July 3, 2009 - Interesting initial reaction from Bill Kristol on Fox News - crazy like a fox?
July 3, 2009 -
Palin resigns as governor; leaves plans secret - Comment: AP
version. Note the reference to SarahPAC - www.sarahpac.org
- which raises funds
for other candidates who she supports, not for Palin. Now she
should be free to support other governor races in 2009 (Virginia and New
Jersey) and 2010 (many important elections) instead of just
concentrating on a campaign in Alaska. It also leaves her free to
selectively support Congressional races anywhere. That could make
a huge difference for Republican candidates - including state primaries
and fundraising. While everyone else is focusing on whether she
will run for President in 2012, she may well be focusing on the
challenge of winning back a strong Republican position in the House and
Senate in 2010 as well as other governor races, rather than just running
for herself.

What Palin
could, and should, do - Use her support of 2010 candidates to
rally Americans against the Obama agenda and thereby set the stage for
2012.
July 3, 2009 - Michelle Malkin blog -
Stunner: A Palin announcementchronicles the media
confusion / frenzy over how to interpret the story, and whether it is
the end of Palin's political career (absurd - like those who are already
trying to tag her as a "quitter"). Many didn't get the July 4th
timing because in Washington they think of the Friday before a holiday
as a slow news day (on which to slip things past people) while so many
politicians and reporters are taking some time off. Obama had just
left for Camp David with his family when Palin grabbed the headlines.
We finally had more important news than the Michael Jackson funeral
plans and the endless speculation about his death.
There are many interesting comments by readers.
Some actually seem to get it - that this is Sarah Palin declaring her
political independence now, rather than doing what the DNC and media had
expected by clinging to office and running again in 2010 in Alaska,
where they could continue to attack her. Instead, she is going on
the offensive in 2009 to help others nationwide. Brilliant move.
May 29, 2009 - Opinion piece in the Anchorage Daily News
by Gov. Sarah Palin in response to criticism of her decision to refuse
some energy stimulus money which had significant strings attached for
more federal control of local decisions. "Stand
blocked federal control of Alaskans"

proved to be through their dishonorable actions soon after the 2008
election.
Since I do not live in Arizona, I am content that I
will never again be asked to vote for John McCain, but look forward to
Sarah Palin's future in the Republican Party. Hopefully the McCain
staff weasels who disgraced themselves by attacking Sarah Palin
anonymously to the news media right after the election will find no
future in the party. See
