Race for Ga. congressional seat heads to runoff - 9th District
runoff June 8 between Republicans
Tom Graves
(35%) and Lee Hawkins (23%). Candidates already eliminated in this
special election to finish out Nathan Deal's term were
Steve Tarvin
(15%), Chris Cates (12%), Bill Stephens (4%) and Bert Loftman (2.5%.

did his April 15 broadcast
from the Atlanta Tax Day Tea
Party. He has also invited video clips of the Tea Party events.
He has set up an
informational page about the Tax Day Tea Party protests, which
complements the various others out there already. |

The nationwide "Chicago Tea
Party" taxpayer revolt in
Atlanta, GA on February 27, 2009 attracted an estimated 400 people.
Similar protests in 40+ cities attracted a total of 15,000+
participants. This was all organized through local online
networking in less than one week. |

The
Tax Day Tea
Party website lists was set up by the
Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, who supported the organization of
most of the first Chicago Tea Party protest events on February 27.
Subsequent sponsors included
American Solutions (ties to Newt Gingrich) and other groups. |

Tea Party protests were also
organized by FreedomWorks in many cities on various dates. |
|
American
Family Association has also set up a new website -
TEA - Taxed Enough
Already - which lists over 1000 local "Tea Party" protest
organizers nationwide. This was followed by another new website
for their July 4 Tea Party protest plans -
