Congratulations to the people of
Massachusetts!
The election of
US Senator
Scott Brown is
the political shot heard round the world - a victory for the people over
political arrogance, and humiliating to the Democratic leaders who had portrayed their health care
atrocity as a tribute to Ted Kennedy. He may not vote the way
conservative Republicans in other states would vote, but he's not
representing other states. At least this is a significant step in
the right direction. |

September 6, 2010 -
Rep. Frank faces town hall foe in Mass. primary - Ironic that he
would face a primary challenge from a LaRouche supporter, after trying
to pretend that such people were part of the Tea Party movement.
At least this reminds voters which side they are on, while the
Republicans actually have some more rational alternatives even if not
much chance of victory. |

June 30. 2010 -
Brown cuts backroom deals he campaigned against - Another AP
cheap shot. Why not just let the White House and DNC publish their
own stories under the AP byline? Why even pretend that this is
independent journalism, rather than partisan talking points? At least
have the decency to treat it as an editorial opinion piece rather than a
news story. |

Evidence-based health care reform? Lessons from Massachusetts
- Comment: Democratic policies are not driven by what
demonstrably works. They are driven by what expands their own
political power and influence to impose their latest ideas for societal
change. |

Massachusetts election could unhinge health care - Comment: "One
way or another", Pelosi is still determined to get her way on health
care. Isn't she already unhinged? |

AP sources: Obama in TV ad for Coakley - Comment: A
desperate attempt by the losers in Washington to defend their power
against the rising tide of frustrated voters.

Obama to campaign in late Kennedy seat - Comment: The fact
that the Democrats may lose this seat in the Senate is a pretty stunning
development in Massachusetts.
Health bill at stake, Obama to stump in Bay State and
Obama, congressional Dems near health care accord - still trying
to ram the health care bill through despite public opposition.
Massachusetts could actually lead a patriotic revolution again with the
political shot heard round the world. |

December 9, 2009 -
Kennedy special election campaign gives GOP political spotlight it's
missed for 3 years - Comment: Next: Martha Coakley vs.
Scott Brown. The Republican Party seems to have already written
off this special election as hopeless, regardless of voter frustration.
The low turnout in the primary suggests that a
well-organized campaign might succeed, but it's not clear how that would
be accomplished in so little time before the special election.
Don't count on the GOP organization to pull it off. If frustrated
voters want it to happen, they'll have to do it themselves.

most of the first Chicago Tea Party protest events on February 27.
