Why Michigan is worst - It's sad that Michigan has had such
lousy politicians for so long - even by our high standards here in
Illinois. It is really hard for other states to compete with Michigan in
this regard. They really do have the "upper hand" in terms of government
creating one of the worst environments for achievement of prosperity in
an otherwise beautiful state. It's a great example of man-made disasters
through generations of political hot air and harmful choices. |

Michigan shutdown ends, lawmakers OK interim budget - Comment: I
guess all that TV advertising to promote Michigan as a place to do
business isn't fooling anybody. After all, this is where Democrats
have had "the upper hand" for a long time. Enjoy the consequences.
This is "Pure Michigan". A nice place to visit, but with many political
problems of their own making. |

children as the senior Republican on the Education and Labor Committee -
joined by House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Thaddeus
McCotter (R-MI).
