Big-party fatigue shows in quirky candidate labels- How about
the Stark Raving Loony Party? Oh, that's right, Stark and the CA Dems in
Congress have that covered already. Maybe the Monster Raving Loony
Party, as in the UK? Would that cause confusion, such as whether the
reference to Monster refers to an actual focus on creating jobs? Can't
have that - unless they are in government. That's it! This could be the
new name for government job listings, such as recruiting for SEIU and
AFSCME positions. It's so much more descriptive than the old Socialist
Workers Party, which was always an oxymoron.
February 4-6, 2010 - Did you miss the
first National Tea Party
Convention in Nashville? If so, links to coverage of the

TEA PARTY ALERT: May 30, 2009 in Seattle, WA:
The Funeral for Healthcare - Facebook event page for a
grassroots counter-protest against a staged national "Astroturf" PR
rally which has been designed to reinforce the liberal push in Congress
to ram through nationalized health care schemes with minimal debate.

Yakima, WA had a Tea Party protest on April 11.
News coverage included the NBC affiliate for the Tri-Cities region,
KDNO/KNDU, which estimated a turnout of over 500 people. There
will be another rally on Wednesday in Yakima, and in nearby Richland,
WA.
Seattle, WA Tea Party protest on February 27, 2009. This attracted an estimated 200 participants - organized
locally by online social networking in less than 1 week. National

in 40+ cities attracted 15,000+ participants.
The
Tax Day Tea
Party website listed events associated with the
Nationwide Tea Party Coalition sponsors, who supported the organization of
most of the first Chicago Tea Party protest events on February 27.
New sponsors include
American Solutions (ties to Newt Gingrich) and other groups.
Newt Gingrich spoke at the New York City Tax Day Tea Party, and on Fox
News about it.
